Salo lab Nanoscale Lipid Flux Architecture

Our mission

Our research group aims to uncover the molecular logic of lipid flux and organelle biogenesis in metabolic health and disease. We use state-of-the-art approaches in cell biology, imaging, and in-cell structural biology to reveal nanoscale membrane architectures in their native context.

Highlights

Our Research

Our Research

We study how organelles form, remodel, and coordinate metabolic decisions, using cryo-CLEM, cryo-ET, and live-cell imaging approaches.

Publications

Publications

Our work spans in-cell structural biology, membrane architecture, and nanoscale regulation of lipid flux in health and disease.

Setting up the Salo Lab website

Today marks the first steps in building the Salo Lab website. The pages, layout, and structure are starting to come together — from the research overview to the team section and the first design elements for our visual identity. Much more will be added as the lab grows, but it’s exciting to see the foundation take shape.

We gratefully acknowledge all past and present funding agencies and institutional partners who support our research and scientific environment.
